Cable Jointing

Offering a diverse range of cable jointing , installation and termination solutions our team is available to guide you.
Cable Jointing

The jointing of an existing service cable to facilitate the relocation of a cut out service head, re routing of the service cable, extending an existing service cable or adding an additional cut out service head location.

This may include the requirement for further supply points, such as additional residential units or reducing a 3 phase Supply to accommodate a single phase necessity.

Link Box Installation

Link boxes are recessed pits beneath the pavements accessible by ICPs, DNOs & IDNOs. These boxes contain low voltage cable joints with removable links which allows the low voltage circuit to be switched.

These link boxes enable the rerouting of power to distribution cables in the event of a fault in the network or during maintenance or repair works, limiting network disruption to the public.

Pre-Demolition Terminations

Prior to demolition works commencing, the contractor/client is required to organise the disconnection, isolation or termination of the electricity service cable supplying the buildings being demolished ensuring the area of excavation is free from service cables.

This may include a permanent disconnection from the point of connection to the mains network. The termination of the supply at the site boundary in preparation for future development, re connection supply requirements or redirection of the supply to buildings under the new development scheme.

Often a TBS (temporary building supply) is a requirement to enable the powering of site offices, welfare units, tower cranes etc throughout the demolition and construction phases.

New Service Cable Installation

The Jointing to the mains network to install new service cables for a multitude of purposes including the supply of electricity to new developments, substations, lighting, electric vehicle charging etc.

LV Mains Jointing

Generally conducted on live mains network cables. This is a connection or extension to an existing LV (low voltage) main network for a variety of applications.

HV Jointing & Terminations

Jointing and termination works on the High Voltage network are carried out while the HV network is dead, switched off or isolated. The HV network is never worked on whilst live.

Cable Damage Repair

An efficient reactive service to repair damaged cables typically located during excavation, with works often conducted live to cause minimal network disruption.
