Commercial/Industrial Connections

From pre-demolition terminations to HV connections and substation installation, we ensure effective communication throughout every phase of your projects.
Pre-Demolition Terminations

Prior to demolition works commencing, the contractor/client is required to organise the disconnection, isolation or termination of the electricity supply to the buildings to be demolished, ensuring the area of excavation is free from service cables.

This may include a permanent disconnection from the point of connection to the mains network, the termination of the supply at the site boundary in preparation for future development, re connection supply requirements or redirection of the supply to buildings under the new development scheme.

Often a TBS (temporary building supply) is a requirement to enable the powering of site offices, welfare units, tower cranes etc. throughout the demolition and construction phases.

Substation Installation

Substations are implemented to reduce the electricity voltage, making it safer and easier to delivery the correct capacities of electricity to homes, businesses and commercial & industrial infrastructure.

Commercial substations vary significantly dependent on the supply requirements and are designed and built for their project specifications.

Our substation installation services include all associated cabling and connections to deliver our clients’ projects on schedule and within budget.

Temporary Metered Supplies

Temporary metered building supplies ensure projects remain operational during demolition and construction phases, whilst securing the safety of personal by terminating electricity supplies from the site boundary.

Temporary building supplies can be used to power site cabins/offices, tower cranes, charge battery tools etc.

Cable Upgrades And Repairs

An efficient service to both upgrade cables where required, while also having the capacity to repair damaged cables typically located during excavation, with works often conducted live to cause minimal network disruption.

Electrical Kiosk Construction (including collision protection)

The design and installation of customised electrical kiosks to suit the specific requirements whilst factoring in the safety obligations, protection responsibility and accessibility commitment. Whether brick built, security fenced or GRP enclosures, our obligation is to deliver a turn-key solution to our clients’ projects.

Network Overlays

To ensure networks reflect ever-changing demands, cable overlays are designed to minimise disruption to the network by installing new cables suitable for supplying  a multitude of requirements.

Cable overlays are often more cost-effective than maintaining  problematic sections of the network often outdated or requiring a capacity upgrade.

LV Mains Jointing

Generally conducted on live mains network cables. This is a connection or extension to an existing LV (low voltage) main network for a variety of applications.

Mains Cable Installations (LV/HV)

A comprehensive service that encompasses the installation of mains cables whether from existing networks, new substations or overhead lines. This includes working on both low and high voltage networks.

Point Of Connection And Design Approval

Applying to the DNO for a point of connection approval and submittal of design drawings for new connections is included in our services, allowing our clients to focus on other tasks.

Arranging DNO & IDNO Network Adoption

New connections, alterations or additions to the electricity network once installed require adopting by either the local DNO or an IDNO. Our team arrange all relevant applications and legal documentation to facilitate the network adoption.

MPAN number application

MPAN number application and Provision of Metering Services will be arranged by us. The efficient submission of applications for MPAN numbers via the Distribution Network Operator, including liaising with the meter provider to arrange installation of meters to new connections.
